FAQ's
Welcome to Our Frequently asked questions pageWhen will my order ship?
All items are handmade, and the majority are made to order. We try to get your orders out as soon as we can, and many items ship quite quickly. As a result, most orders will ship within our standard time of 14 days. This 14 day period starts on the first working day after order placement. Working days are Monday to Friday and exclude Bank Holidays (England) and Saturdays and Sundays.
Will my item look exactly like the pictures?
No! But it will be very similar. There are three good reasons why your item will be different (and should be!) Firstly, all the items are handmade, so each one is different. Secondly, we use hand finished leathers and other materials that are themselves handmade.
Depending on the leather and finishing methods, and the ‘pull up’ qualities when we cut your item out. Thirdly, it’s very difficult to represent the colours consistently. They should be a good indication, but the lighting conditions of the photograph, the camera and computer processing and editing of the image, and the colour rendition settings and brightness of the screen you view the item on will all vary.
Should I get in touch to see how my orders coming along?
We always love to hear from our customers; without you we wouldn’t be doing this, but it won’t get the order made any faster – sorry! We know that you are excited to get your items; we are excited to get them out to you and see them being put to good use. When you post an Instagram picture of your camera looking fabulous with your H&H camera strap, we couldn’t be happier!
I need the items by a certain date. Will it be here in time?
Going on holiday in two weeks time? Need a new cameras strap for an upcoming photoshoot? Good choices, but please contact us before placing your order and we will agree a shipping date and method with you.
If you need the item for a date that is within our usual 14 day period + shipping time, it may be possible to expedite the order or the shipping, at additional cost, but please check first. We hate to disappoint you!
If My strap breaks and my camera is damaged will I be compensated?
However if one of our straps fails for whatever reason, we can’t be held liable for any losses beyond the value of the strap. The extent of our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product.
Our camera straps are built to last so if you are having problems, we want to help. At our discretion, we may offer you a replacement strap or a full refund if the strap has failed due to a problem with the materials or manufacturing.
In order to limit the chance of damage to any camera used with our straps, check the strap carefully before fitting and check carefully for damage or other problems before each use.
See our Terms & Conditions page.
Will the metal hardware on the strap damage my camera?
Our straps feature some metal hardware in the form of copper rivets and brass split rings. It is possible that this metal hardware could mark or rub your camera and cause some marking or brassing. We have found that the leather camera protectors remove most of this risk, and that the copper rivets have not caused any noticeable problems with our cameras.
If you are very concerned about keeping your cameras pristine, we would suggest using leather camera protectors provided, and contact us to ask for a saddle-stitched strap instead of riveted. This is an option we will be offering shortly, but for the time being we can arrange this if you contact us.
